A young company. An experienced team.
Timiron LLC operates its own terminal in Cadiz, Ohio. The people who run it spent two decades building and running terminals for other companies first, working with every Class I railroad in North America - BNSF, Union Pacific, CSX, Norfolk Southern, CN and CPKC - and with short lines including the Wheeling & Lake Erie, R.J. Corman and Ohio Central.
The facilities on this page, other than Cadiz, were owned by and operated for other companies. Timiron LLC did not own or operate them. They are the experience of our leadership team.
Our leadership team's experience
Before Timiron existed, our leadership team spent two decades building and setting up bulk transload terminals for other companies across the country: greenfield construction, brownfield retrofits, unit-train start-ups, and the daily work of keeping product moving safely. These projects tell that story.
Alamo Junction — Elmendorf, Texas
Built and operated a frac sand rail transload serving Eagle Ford shale completions. Our leadership team took the site from build-out through daily operations: railcar switching, silo management, and truck loadout at shale-boom pace.
Fruita — Fruita, Colorado
A crude truck-to-rail terminal where our leadership team owned flow assurance end to end — authoring the loading procedures, spill-prevention and emergency response plans, and the storage-tank inspection program that kept crude moving from Piceance basin trucks into railcars without incident.
Belpre — Belpre, Ohio
A greenfield build: a condensate stabilization and barge plant on the Ohio River, built and operated by our leadership team from bare ground to a working facility with four river docks. Construction ran 2014–2017; the drone record of the build is part of the story we tell.
Southton — San Antonio, Texas
Built and operated a multi-commodity rail transload on the south side of San Antonio — another ground-up build carried through into steady-state operations.
Philadelphia crude-by-rail — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Our leadership team built, started up, and operated a crude-by-rail offloading operation on a retrofitted refinery site — 104 car spots carved out of legacy infrastructure. Over the life of the program the site offloaded 216+ unit trains of crude.
Tampa Port — Tampa, Florida
Built and operated an ethanol unit-train terminal at the Port of Tampa — full trains in, tank trucks out, feeding the Florida fuels market.
Casper — Casper, Wyoming
Operated a crude unit-train terminal in the Powder River basin, loading full trains for delivery to distant refining markets.
Atlanta — Atlanta, Georgia
A railcar heel-reduction program: systematic work on offloading practice that cut the residual heel left in railcars, recovering product that had been riding back and forth across the network as dead freight.
Cadiz — Cadiz, Ohio (Timiron LLC, today)
The one facility on this page that is ours. Timiron LLC operates the Cadiz crude and condensate truck-to-rail terminal in the Utica shale today. Open the Cadiz spec sheet.
Where the experience comes from
Timiron is a young company. The people running it are not new to this work. Every era below is work our leadership team did for other companies before Timiron existed, except the last one.
2013 — the Southeast chemical-transfer era
Our story starts in the Southeast, where our leadership team operated a network of 13 chemical-transfer terminal sites. Railcar-to-truck transfer of industrial chemicals is unforgiving work — hydrochloric acid does not tolerate sloppy hose discipline — and it taught the habits that still define how we run a terminal: procedure first, containment always, and no load moves until the paperwork matches the product.
2014 — crude truck-to-rail at Fruita, Colorado
Our leadership team commissioned crude truck-to-rail loading at Fruita, Colorado — taking a greenfield site from bare ground to loaded unit trains. This was the first proof that we could stand up a truck-to-rail operation from scratch: build the loading procedures, train the crews, and get product rolling on schedule.
2015–2016 — the Ohio River and ground-up construction
At Belpre, Ohio, our leadership team built barge docks on the Ohio River and led ground-up terminal construction — civil work, dock infrastructure, transfer systems, and commissioning. Belpre added the marine leg to our playbook and proved we could deliver construction, not just operations.
2017 — rail, truck, and marine in one operation
By 2017 our leadership team was running integrated rail-truck-marine transfer — moving product across all three modes at a single operation. Coordinating railcar spots, truck windows, and barge schedules against river conditions is the hardest logistics problem in transloading, and it became a core competency.
Nationwide network operations
Between eras and alongside them, our leadership team operated bulk transload terminals across the country — Allenport, Belpre, Fruita, Casper, Yorktown, San Antonio, Bossier City, and dozens more. Crude, condensate, frac sand, ethanol, and multi-commodity bulk, by rail, truck, barge, and dock. The full facility record is below.
2025 — Timiron LLC at Cadiz, Ohio
Today that experience runs a terminal Timiron LLC operates itself: crude and condensate, truck to rail, in Cadiz, Ohio. Across 2025 and 2026 it grew from one loading position to three, and it is in service today.

Rail relationships
Two decades of loading unit trains and manifest traffic built working relationships with every Class 1 railroad in North America — Union Pacific, BNSF, CSX, Norfolk Southern, CN, and CPKC — and the majority of North American shortlines. When we commit cars to a schedule, the railroad already knows how we operate.
Terminals
Every facility on this page was operated by our leadership team across two decades of terminal careers — including construction and commissioning at select sites. Timiron runs one of them today — the rest are the track record it stands on.

How we work
Safety
Everyone goes home the way they came in. Procedure first, containment always.
Quality
The load matches the ticket, and the ticket matches the paperwork.
Honesty
We tell customers what we can do, what we can't, and what went wrong.
Efficiency
No wasted motion on the platform, and no wasted line items on the invoice.
Working with regulators
Our leadership team has permitted, inspected and operated under OSHA, PHMSA, EPA and FRA oversight, and taken marine projects through the Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Coast Guard. The paperwork is the floor, not the ceiling.
